PC Sheet Greenhouses: More Practical Than You Think
With the ever-increasing demands on building and decorative materials, the aesthetically pleasing, stylish, and fully functional PC (polycarbonate) sheets seem to be leading the 21st-century decoration trend, dominating both domestic and international markets. PC sheet greenhouses are a type of intelligent greenhouse, including basic systems such as: top opening window system, side opening window system, electrical control and distribution system, frame system, greenhouse covering system, external shading system, internal shading system, etc. Other systems can be added according to specific needs. PC sheets are commonly used in greenhouses. The price will vary depending on the thickness of the sheet and the warranty period.
Most PC sheet greenhouses use double-layer transparent PC sheets. Double-layer transparent PC sheets are lightweight and highly transparent, which is beneficial for plant growth. There are no blind spots for sunlight in the greenhouse, improving land utilization and lighting performance. Importantly, the light transmittance does not decrease significantly over time.

At the same time, the surface of the PC sheet is specially treated with anti-ultraviolet treatment to ensure the stability of the product's UV resistance, maintaining the optical properties of the product itself, preventing rapid aging due to UV exposure, and preventing the product color from yellowing easily.
Among thermoplastic plastics, PC has excellent impact resistance. PC sheets have excellent impact resistance and can maintain stable performance over a wide temperature range (-40~+120°C).
Under the above conditions, glass and acrylic are fragile and hard, while PC sheets are flexible and have excellent physical properties, as well as good sound insulation properties, making them a material used for highway sound insulation, achieving good sound insulation effects.

Compared with other ordinary glass and other plastics, PC sheets have a lower thermal conductivity, greatly reducing heat loss and achieving energy saving. Using anti-fogging technology, a high-concentration coating is evenly distributed on the lower surface of the sheet, preventing water mist from reducing light transmittance and avoiding damage to plants and animals below from condensation water dripping directly.
PC sheets have good fire resistance. Tested by the National Fire Protection Building Materials Quality Supervision and Inspection Center, they meet the standard flame retardant B1 level. Under strong flame combustion, PC sheets will not promote flame spread. During combustion, PC polycarbonate sheets do not produce dense smoke or toxic gases, and they self-extinguish after being removed from the fire source, indicating that the sheets have good flame-retardant properties.
