Factory Direct Lychee Embossed Corrugated Polycarbonate Sheet — Durable Roofing with Built-In Light Diffusion
Baoding Sinhai's factory direct lychee embossed corrugated polycarbonate sheet has a corrugated structural shape and an uneven lychee-skin surface pattern that deflects incoming light rather than focussing it. All sheets are co-extruded with 1 or 2 sides of UV protection layer (50-103 microns), made from 100% virgin PC resin (BAYER and SABIC choices available) Wavy & trapezoidal shapes .75 mm to 3.0 mm thickness 10+ standard colours Full OEM support
What Is a Lychee Embossed Corrugated Polycarbonate Sheet?
The thermoplastic roofing and glazing panel known as lychee embossed corrugated polycarbonate sheet has a corrugated shape and an uneven lychee-skin surface texture.
The form, which is corrugated, makes it resistant to wind and snow. By distributing the light that hits the surface more unevenly, the lychee embossing prevents the "hot spot" appearance that is typical of perfectly flat surfaces. Since light quality and surface durability are important in agricultural, industrial, and architectural applications, it is a viable option.

Why the Lychee Texture Makes a Real Difference?
The lychee grain is a practical surface characteristic, not an ornamental one. Its design is uneven, breaking up light more aggressively than diamond or tiny embossed patterns, resulting in greater diffusion and improved visual privacy.
In greenhouse applications, the factory direct lychee embossed corrugated polycarbonate sheet disperses light so the lower leaves of plants get a more uniform distribution of light and are less likely to be burnt by focused sun rays. Warehouse and factory daylighting diffuses daylight to lessen harsh glare and shadows without the need for artificial illumination.
The texture is put on the underside of the installed sheet where it is shielded from rain-driven dirt. The top face is smooth so any rain will naturally wash away any dust on the surface. The embossed texture also helps to hide little scratches on the surface as they happen.
Performance Properties
The sheet is impact resistant and can survive 250–300 times the impact that common glass can sustain when tested according to the criteria stated in the QC section below. Hail and falling debris breakage is significantly minimised compared to glass and acrylic alternatives.
The co-extruded UV layer (50-103 microns) minimises yellowing and deterioration from sun radiation. For long term outdoor performance, install with the UV protected side (denoted by the branded masking film) facing the sun.
The working temperature range of -40°C to +120°C supports cold-climate and high-heat applications. The sheet was provided to projects in Egypt, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.
Typical Application Scenarios
Factory roofs and industrial skylights. The lychee surface scatters light, reducing glare and improving working conditions. The corrugations in the profile transfer structural loads across large spans.
Greenhouses: Sunlight is distributed more evenly to lower crop levels, eliminating hot patches of focused heat. Thicknesses of 0.75 mm to 3.0 mm enable Sheet to be matched to local climatic and load needs.
Carports, canopies, pergolas. The lychee texture gives visual seclusion yet with excellent light transmission. The soiling of the surface is less noticeable between cleaning sessions.
Commercial walkways and corridors. The textured finish hides ordinary soiling and keeps the clean look without constant maintenance.
Quality Control Process
Multi-stage inspection for every manufacturing batch. Raw material checks show 100% virgin resin, no recycling content. Dimensional tests confirm thickness tolerance within ±0.05 mm and wave height uniformity of the whole profile of the corrugated profile.
Performance testing: ASTM D1003 Light Transmission and Haze ISO 179 Charpy Impact Test for Shatter Resistance Yellowing Index after accelerated UV weathering. Microscopic cross-section examination validates UV coating thickness.
Baoding Sinhai was one of the key drafting units of the national standard of China for polycarbonate sheets, which was formally adopted on April 1, 2025.

FAQ
Q1: How does the lychee texture compare to diamond and micro embossed?
A: The uneven surface of the lychee skin diffuses light and pictures more than the more regular embossed patterns, providing a higher level of diffusion and visual seclusion.
Q2: Is the surface texture difficult to clean?
A: The texture is on the underside of the roof as fitted and is shielded from rain driven dirt. The surface is smooth and rain provides regular washing without extra upkeep.
Q3: Is there a textural effect on hail resistance?
A: The embossed surface increases the overall surface area which serves to diffuse the impact energy across a larger region instead of localising it to a single location.
Q4. How long does the sea shipment?
A: Transit time will vary by destination port. The primary plant is situated near Tianjin Port, which provides access to worldwide marine routes. By land transit from Kashgar base to Central Asian nations, it takes around 7 days.
Q5: Is it good for hot weather like Egypt or Middle East?
A: The sheet works from -40°C to +120°C and has been delivered to sites in Egypt, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.
Q6: How can I tell which side is the UV protected side before I put it in?
A: On the UV protected side it has a branded masking film. Install this side to the sun so it does not get brittle or yellow too soon.
