Mini Embossed Corrugated Plastic Sheet — Trapezoidal PC Roofing Panel with Soft Light & Privacy Effect
The mini embossed corrugated plastic sheet from Baoding Sinhai is constructed from 100% virgin polycarbonate and is available in thicknesses from 1.0 mm to 2.0 mm. Its trapezoidal design mounts easily over ordinary steel roofing frames, and the embossed surface pattern diffuses incoming light, reducing glare and increasing visual seclusion – making it a perfect option for domestic patio covers, pergolas, covered pathways and light business canopies.
What the Embossed Texture Actually Does
The textured surface scatters the incoming light, softening it as it passes through the panel, rather than allowing it through as a sharp beam. This “soft light” look is a popular specification for high-end residential patio covers, pergolas and covered pathways where complete transparency would be too harsh.
The embossed design also conceals fingerprints and little surface scratches significantly better than plain sheets. Those purchasing panels for business canopies or high-end garden structures will be pleased that the installation remains looking immaculate for years to come with no additional work needed in upkeep.
Material & Construction
Each panel is constructed from 100% virgin polycarbonate resin - no recycled filler, no mixed trash. For projects requiring a certain resin origin, imported SABIC or BAYER material is available upon request.
UV protection is not a surface coating but is included by co-extrusion. During extrusion, a 50–102 micron UV layer is bonded directly to one or both sides and becomes a permanent structural element of the panel rather than a coating which may peel or wear away over time.

Color Options
The colour choice for the mini embossed corrugated plastic sheet influences the ambiance and light transmission of the covered area. Transparent, bronze, grey, opal, lake blue, amber, dark blue, silver, orange, and yellow are the ordinary possibilities.
We can accommodate OEM or branded projects with custom colours if needed. We may arrange for a bespoke formulation to meet your individual project needs, such as a desired colour match or light transmittance rating.
Performance Characteristics
- Resistant to impact—when compared to similarly thick glass or acrylic, polycarbonate absorbs shock far more effectively.
- Rated for use in cold winters with snow loading and hot summers, the temperature range is -40°C to +120°C.
- Minimal glare—the covered area is easier on the eyes since the embossed surface disperses light.
- The texture creates a sense of privacy by obstructing straight sightlines without totally shielding the light from the sun.
- Easy to work with and set up since it isn't heavy like panels made of glass or fibre.
Application Scenarios
Residential: patio covers, garden canopies, pergolas, carport roofing, balcony enclosures, and pool covers where soft diffused light is preferred over full transparency.
Commercial: covered walkways, retail canopies, greenhouse side panels, and corridor roofing where privacy combined with natural daylight is a design requirement.
Industrial daylighting: factory skylights and warehouse roofing where glare reduction matters for worker comfort and the trapezoidal profile aligns with existing steel purlins.
Processing & Customization
Sinhai is able to do the complete processing in-house. Panels may be trimmed to length, bent, punched for fastener holes, CNC profiled or color-printed before shipment – saving labour on site or enabling pre-fabricated kits to be sent straight to an installation crew.
OEM/ODM services are provided. We have 70+ free moulds in a variety of corrugated profiles so your profile may already be in the system reducing lead time and eliminating tooling expenses.
Quality Control & Certifications
Incoming raw material inspection, in-line manufacturing checks and final delivery inspection are performed on each batch of mini embossed corrugated plastic sheet. Monitoring of key parameters such as impact resistance, light transmittance, resistance to weathering and flame retardancy is carried out for this product.
Products are certified to ISO 9001:2015 CE, RoHS and UDEM testing is also available for foreign market needs. Panels are packaged in PE film, and on hardwood pallets, to preserve embossed surface during shipping and storage.
Packaging & Logistics
The panels are supplied with a PE film on the embossed surface as protection and are stacked on wooden pallets for container loading. Our logistics experts will handle all of the customs paperwork, and we are backed by sea, truck and air freight.
The Kashgar manufacturing base cuts delivery time to 7 days for Central Asian consumers. Regional stock assistance is supplied via local warehouse resources in Tashkent and Dushanbe.
Regular orders are usually sent within about a week after purchase confirmation.
FAQ
Q1: What is the mini embossed texture actually used for?
A: The embossed finish gives the panel a subtle, matte appearance. It is commonly specified for residential patio covers and pergolas where a soft, diffused lighting feel is preferred over full transparency.
Q2: Does this sheet hold up in cold winters?
A: Yes. The polycarbonate material maintains its structure from –40°C to +120°C, making it suitable for all seasons including cold winters with snow loading.
Q3: What color options are available?
A: Standard colors include transparent, bronze, grey, opal, lake blue, amber, dark blue, silver, orange, and yellow. Custom colors can be arranged based on project requirements.
Q4: How is it installed?
A: The overlapping method works well for this trapezoidal profile. Washers and self-drilling screws are available for purchase from Sinhai to consolidate hardware sourcing.
Q5: What is the minimum order quantity?
A: If the required profile is already in production, the MOQ is 1,000 kg. For a new or custom profile not currently in the production run, the MOQ is 6,000 kg.
Q6: Can panels be custom cut or processed before shipping?
A: Yes. Cutting, bending, punching, CNC machining, and color printing are all available as in-house processing services, so panels can arrive ready for installation.
