A structural connecting profile built of 6000-series aluminium alloy is called an aluminum h-connector. It joins two neighbouring panels – polycarbonate, ACP or glass – in roofing, facade and partition systems.
This profile enables micro-movements due to temperature changes without losing its waterproof and airtight characteristics, unlike hard joining techniques. It reduces panel buckling and keeps moisture from entering the structure—two of the primary causes of long-term damage to curtain wall and roofing systems.
The Base + Cap two-piece construction makes installation easy. First attach the base and then snap the cap over the sides of the panel for a neat finish.

The profile is made of Aluminium 6063-T5 temper, tensile strength of ≥ 215 MPa and yield strength of ≥ 170 MPa. This alloy grade is often used in architectural extrusions for its clean machinability, good coating response and air corrosion resistance.
Surface treatments choices include anodising in silver, black or bronze with anodising thickness of 15-25 microns – for outdoor and moderately corrosive situations. Custom colour powder coating is also available.
Higher micron anodising with PVDF coating may provide an added level of resistance to chloride-induced pitting in coastal or high humidity conditions.
High stiffness with inherent expansion tolerance. The H-channel has a special expansion space to allow for modest movement of the panels when the temperature changes. No more creaking and popping from a joint too tight and the sheet can't move easily under midday heat.
High facades with high resistance to wind. This profile is ideal for high-rise and large-span roofing applications where wind uplift is a problem given the 6063-T5 alloy and two piece locking system.
Non-combustible and UV stable. Aluminium is Class A1 non-combustible and does not yellow or deteriorate under UV exposure like PVC profiles. It is totally recyclable, thus it is in line with the sourcing of green construction material.
The aluminum h-connector ensures consistency between batches. The alloy composition is validated with a spectroscopic study to ASTM or EN standards, ensuring the least chance of stress-corrosion cracking over time.

A: This is thermal expansion noise. PC sheets expand as they heat up. If the H-profile is too tight, the sheet pushes against the fasteners. Pre-drill holes 2 mm larger than the screw shank and use H-profiles with built-in expansion gaps to address this.
