Crystal polycarbonate sheet from Baoding Sinhai Sunboard Manufacturing Co., Ltd. lets up to 90% of light through and has a smooth, shiny surface that looks like glass. It's much lighter than glass and 250–300 times stronger against impact. The panels are made from 100% new Bayer/Sabic PC resin and have a 50εm co-extruded UV layer that stops UV below 380nm. A crystal polycarbonate sheet is a thermoplastic panel that is manufactured for grade quality and has a smooth and high-gloss surface with a clarity and appearance that is very similar to glass. Its excellent surface polish decreases glare and removes visible hot spots typically seen in LED lighting and architectural glass applications.
Unlike normal glass, it works throughout a broad temperature range – between -40°C and +120°C – without shattering or distorting. It weighs 1.2 g/cm3, much less than glass, thus it is easier to handle, and thereby reduces installation time on large-span roofing and curtain wall projects.

Glass without the fragility Transparency. The crystal clear grade has a light transmission of 89% and is ideal for offices, showrooms and skylight applications where brightness and visual comfort are important. It is less prone to breaking than tempered glass in heavy traffic or safety sensitive places.
UV protected panel. The 50μm UV co-extruded layer is not deposited as a surface coating, but during the extrusion process. The structural integration ensures it won’t peel or delaminate with time, providing panels that visually stay solid for lengthy periods of outside exposure.
Can be cold bent on site. Minimum cold bending radius ≥175 x sheet thickness Panels may be formed on-site without heating equipment and enable CNC cutting, drilling and engraving, which lowers fabrication complexity for bespoke or curved installations.
Dependable impact performance. The material has an impact strength of 850 J/m . The material is ideally suited for applications such as machine guard housings, public transport canopies and safety glazing where breaking under accidental impact is a concern.
